This Privacy Policy explains how Tio Magic Company handles information for the YouTube Kids Review Matcher Chrome extension.

What the extension does

YouTube Kids Review Matcher helps parents and guardians review YouTube and YouTube Kids videos for age appropriateness, stimulation, content alignment, and educational value. The extension works on YouTube and YouTube Kids pages and can send selected video information to our backend so an AI review can be generated.

Information we collect

The extension may collect or process the following information:

  • Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive authentication information through Supabase Auth, including your Supabase user ID and the email address associated with your sign-in.

  • Review preferences: your selected review age and selected evaluation types.

  • YouTube page and video information: video URL, video ID, title, channel ID, channel name, description, duration, page type, playlist ID, playlist position, and related playlist video metadata when playlist analysis is used.

  • Whitelist information: YouTube channel IDs and channel names that you choose to whitelist.

  • Usage and quota information: information needed to apply review limits, such as video duration, selected videos, timestamps, time zone, and review request status.

  • AI review results: generated review outputs, section statuses, errors, and timing information shown in the extension.

The extension does not ask you to provide a child’s name, birthday, address, school, phone number, or other direct child-identifying information. The saved review age is used only to tailor the review.

How we use information

We use information only to provide and improve the extension’s review features, including to:

  • authenticate your account;

  • save your review settings;

  • analyze YouTube or YouTube Kids videos you choose to review;

  • check whether a channel is whitelisted;

  • run playlist analysis when you request it;

  • enforce usage limits and prevent abuse;

  • show review results, loading states, and errors inside the extension;

  • maintain, debug, secure, and improve the service.

We do not use your information for personalized advertising, credit decisions, lending decisions, or resale to data brokers.

When information is collected

The extension processes YouTube and YouTube Kids page information only when you use the extension on supported YouTube or YouTube Kids pages. AI review requests are sent when you choose to run an analysis or when a feature you enabled requires a review.

Information stored locally

The extension uses Chrome extension storage to store information on your device, including authentication session data, review preferences, recent/current channel context, whitelist version data, and temporary playlist analysis state.

Local extension data remains on your device until you sign out, clear extension/browser data, or uninstall the extension.

Information sent to our backend

When you run a review, the extension sends the relevant video or playlist metadata, your selected review age, selected evaluation types, whitelist status/version information, and time zone to our backend service.

Our backend is hosted with Supabase. The backend may use Google Gemini or another AI model provider to generate the requested review. Only the information needed to perform the review is sent.

Third parties we share information with

We share information only as needed to provide the extension:

  • Supabase: used for authentication, account sessions, profile preferences, channel whitelists, backend functions, and related service storage.

  • Google Sign-In/OAuth: used so you can sign in.

  • Google Gemini or other AI review provider: used to generate video review results from the submitted video metadata.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the security of the service, or as part of a business transfer where permitted by applicable law.

What we do not do

We do not:

  • sell your personal information;

  • use your information for personalized advertising;

  • transfer your information to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers;

  • collect unrelated browsing history;

  • read or analyze pages outside the YouTube and YouTube Kids pages needed for the extension’s stated purpose;

  • collect payment card information through the extension.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

The use of information received from Chrome extension APIs and Google-related authentication flows will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information accessed by the extension is used only to provide or improve the extension’s single purpose: helping parents and guardians review YouTube and YouTube Kids videos for suitability.

Data retention

Account preferences and whitelist records are retained while your account is active or until you delete them or request deletion. Local extension data remains in Chrome storage until you sign out, clear extension/browser data, or uninstall the extension.

AI review requests and related service logs may be retained for a limited period as needed to operate, debug, secure, and improve the service, enforce quotas, and comply with legal obligations.

Children’s privacy

This extension is intended for use by parents and guardians. It is not intended for children to create accounts or submit personal information. We do not knowingly collect direct personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the extension, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the extension and backend services. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can:

  • choose whether to sign in;

  • choose whether to run a video or playlist review;

  • change your saved review age and evaluation preferences;

  • add or remove whitelisted channels;

  • sign out to remove the local authentication session;

  • uninstall the extension to remove extension-local data from Chrome;

  • contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account-related information.
